Brooke Wins Night 1 of the "King of Wings"

Brooke's last race for the 2007/2008 Australian Season

with Krikke MotorSport was the two-night Nanovich "King

of Wings" Race at the Perth Motorplex, in Perth, Western

Australia, on 7 and 8 March 2008, where Brooke won

night one and was unable to finish on night two.

On Night One, Brooke qualified 21st with a time of

15.524 seconds. He started his Heat from seventh

and finished fourth, giving him a transfer into the A

Dash. He started the A Dash from sixth and finished

fourth, giving him a fourth-row starting position for the

Preliminary A-Main. He therefore started the A-Main

from seventh, alongside Danny Reidy, and took the

Preliminary A-Main win ahead of Robbie Farr and

Mark Wells.

On Night Two, Brooke started his Heat from pole and

took the Heat win, giving him a transfer into the A

Dash. He started the A Dash from pole and took the

Dash win, giving him pole for the Nanovich "King of

Wings" A-Main. He took the race lead, but was caught

up in an incident whilst leading, which took him out

of the race. The race was won by Robbie Farr, with

Luch Monte second and Kerry Madsen third.

Brooke has now returned to the United States. His

next race will be with TLC Racing at the Knoxville

Championship Cup Series Season Opener at Knoxville

Raceway, in Knoxville, Iowa, on 19 April 2008.

Bad Luck at the Krikke Boys Shootout

The two-night Krikke Boys Shootout was held at Bunbury

City Speedway, in Bunbury, Western Australia, on 1 and

2 March 2008, where Brooke was unable to finish on

both nights.

On Night One, Brooke qualified sixth with a time of

14.025 seconds. He started his Heat from fifth and

finished third, giving him a transfer into the B Dash.

He started the B Dash from fifth and took the Dash

win, giving him a front-row starting position for the

Preliminary A-Main. He therefore started the A-Main

from second, alongside Allan Nash. Brooke was

comfortably leading the race, before being caught

up in an incident whilst lapping a slower car, which

put him out of the race. The race was won by Robbie

Farr, with Ben Ellement second and David Murcott

third.

On Night Two, Brooke started his Heat from second

and finished second, giving him a transfer into the A

Dash. He started the A Dash from third and finished

fourth, giving him a fourth-row starting position for

the Krikke Boys Shootout A-Main. He therefore started

the A-Main from seventh, alongside Shaun Bradford,

but suffered a similar incident to night one, which

again put him out of the race. The race was won by

Robbie Farr, with Kaley Gharst second and Jamie

Moon third.

Brooke's next race will be the Nanovich "King of

Wings" Race at the Perth Motorplex, in Perth,

Western Australia, on 7 and 8 March 2008.

Brooke's New US Team - TLC Racing Takes Shape

"Current Australian and 6-time World Series Champion Brooke

Tatnell has joined the newly formed TLC Racing Team for the

upcoming US race season in the shape of the newly formed

TLC Racing. The Aussie team is comprised of Barry and Vivian

Lewis along with John Cooley. TLC Racing will be utilising

the Australian built COOL CHASSIS powered by a fresh Allan

Felsch engine. The team plans to start at the season opener

at Knoxville in late April and plan to hit and miss about

twenty or so races throughout the year.

This is not the first time Barry has been patriotic in giving

an Aussie a shot at racing in the US as he has been linked

to Skip and Bob Jackson, Peter Murphy and recently Trevor

 Green.

“After three good years with Trev he informed me that he wanted

to move back to South Australia and we agreed that the Australian

Title would be our last meeting. I had contemplated selling the

whole race team but I also knew that Brooke and Guy Forbrook

had run into a sponsorship shortfall and Brooke was still searching

for financial backing to join Forbrook Motorsports in mid April.”

stated Lewis.

“Speedway has been a major part of my life and I did not want

to see Australia’s best driver without a ride in the US. It’s going

to be a tough exercise as we are on a limited budget and we

are still trying to tie down sponsors to support us. Brooke

needs to make a living for his family and we want him to be

able to show people in the states just how much talent and

desire he has. What makes this deal really cool is that we will

be using one of Cooley’s Australian built COOL chassis.”

Talking to Brooke yesterday it was easy to tell that a weight

had been lifted of his shoulders. “Guy and I still have agreed

to race together if we find the financial resources required,

both Barry and Cooley are willing to work with us on this.

Barry has come in like a lifesaver at the last minute with this

deal it was put forward the morning of the rained out

Australian Title and finalised last Tuesday after discussing

 this with Guy.” Explained Brooke.

“I’m excited to have the race cars coming to our house so I

can maintain the cars as this is going to be all hands on

deck around the Tatnell camp. Amy’s learning that the big

gear goes to the top & the little one goes to the bottom

and Emma is spinning the wheels to make sure that the

tyres are balanced for her Daddy” joked Tatnell

“I promised Cooley three years ago that I would one day

run a Cool Car in the US and I am really looking forward

to proving to fans in the US just how good his cars are.

With a limited race budget if we have an off night we will

be looking for fill in races with teams“.

At this present moment the team have two complete cars

with motors being prepared to put into a container with all

their tools but the team is still trying to put a transporter

in place.

“The transporter isn’t the most important thing right now, if we

have to use an open trailer that’s fine with me, Karl Kinser once

said Palm trees in front of a race shop don’t win races nor do

cool looking trailers” confessed Brooke.

Keep an eye on this team, go down say G’Day and buy one

of the new Brooke Tatnell team shirts."

Brooke Wins First Australian Sprintcar Nationals

The two-night Australian Sprintcar Nationals was held at

Speedway City, in Adelaide, South Australia, on Friday 15

and Saturday 16 February 2008, where Brooke won both

nights to take his first Nationals win.

On Night One, Brooke started Heat One from fifth and

powered into third in the opening laps, before a side-

by-side battle for second, until a yellow light stoppage.

After the restart, he made an inside move to second,

where he finished. He started Heat Two from sixth and

moved into fourth off the start. On the first lap, he

powered around the high line into second, but a yellow

light stoppage saw him restart in third. He quickly moved

back into second and made a late race charge for the

lead, finishing side-by-side across the line, and was

classified second.

Brooke was the night's highest point scorer, and therefore

started the 20-lap Preliminary A-Main from pole. He took

control of the race and opened up a gap over the field.

He was quickly into lapped traffic, before a red light

stoppage. The Krikke MotorSport Team worked on the

Australia#1 machine on the in-field during the open red

light stoppage. Following the restart, Brooke opened

up another gap over the field, soon into lapped traffic,

and weaved his way through to take the win, ahead

of Max Dumesny and David Murcott.

After the race, Brooke said, "We had a good night. We

just need to keep plugging away for tomorrow night.

It’s 40 laps, with another heat race and all that to go.

So you know, the boys did a good job; the car rolled

around the corners free. I don’t think there was any

time that we were ever in doubt of how strong we were

going to be tonight. We came here with a mission to

race hard and not have to worry about anything.

Anyone that wants to criticise that we haven’t been on

top of our game this year, I think tonight proved it.”

Krikke MotorSport Team Owner Shane Krikke said, “It

was a very good way to start the weekend off. I mean

tomorrow night, the big bucks are up and it’s 40 laps.

Tonight was still good. We haven’t been racing for a

little while after the rain from all around the countryside,

so it was good to get back to the racetrack and have a bit

of winning form. I think the boys did a really good job in

tough conditions tonight. You know, Shane Finch got the

right sort of tyre choice and Pete Caporn had the super-

tune on it, and of course, Brooke is always very good at

what he does, so that’s why he’s number one in the

country right now, so it was good. We’ll come back

tomorrow night and hopefully grab the big bickies.”

On Night Two, Brooke started Heat One from the rear

and powered into seventh in the opening laps, before

a red light stoppage. He restarted in sixth, and quickly

moved into fifth, before a late race pass saw him finish

fourth. He started Heat Two from second, and took the

early lead, opening up a gap over the field. He was into

lapped traffic by half-race distance, and weaved his

way through to take the win. He started the Top 6

Dash from pole, and finished second.

He therefore started the 40-lap A-Main from second,

and ran in second from the start. The leaders were

soon into lapped traffic, which saw Brooke power

around the high line passing the slower cars, and

swapping positions with leader Robbie Farr through

traffic. Brooke took the race lead at half-race distance

and opened up a quarter lap lead over the field before

yellow light stoppages. Rough track conditions caused

Brooke's front wing mounts to break, collapsing the

wing after the restart, but Brooke continued to lead,

and weaved his way through lapped cars to take his

first Nationals win. It was also Krikke MotorSport's

first Nationals win. Trevor Green was second, with

Max Dumesny third.

On his win, Brooke said, “We had a good night. Both

Heat races were pretty good. In the Dash, with it being

as rough as what it was, we just couldn’t get the car

to take off clean.  Danny [Reidy] was trying to do the

best he could on the start, and we were trying to do the

best we could, and you know, the second start was a

good start, except that’s when the crash behind us

happened, so the third one, we just got together and

that allowed Farry [Robbie Farr] to zip up the inside of

us. But in the Feature race, we went with a more

aggressive set-up than most of the guys out there,

and we knew we were going to be struggling a little

bit early and knew Farry [Robbie Farr] would get away

from us. But as I said, we were set to have a race car

that was there at the end, and that’s what we had.”

Krikke MotorSport Team Owner Shane Krikke said, “We’re

absolutely thrilled. To pick up a race of this stature is

always very good, and to come away with winning both

the Features for the weekend, it’s great. So hopefully it’s

a good bit of winning form we can carry through to the

Krikke Boys Memorial and the Nanovich [King of Wings

Race] back home. Absolutely fantastic, it was a great

weekend. Brooke did an excellent job, especially in the

last bit of the race with the front wing collapsed like it

was, and Pete [Caporn], Shane [Finch] and Ryan

[Krikke] gave him a great car to drive, and you know,

it was really, really good. So it was good to see the

Cool Chassis/Maxwill Motor combination back up the

front and winning races where it belongs.”

The Krikke MotorSport Team after their Nationals win

L-R: Pete, Shane, Brooke, Shane &  Ryan, Adelaide, February 2008

Brooke's next race will be the 11th Annual Krikke Boys

Shootout at Bunbury City Speedway, in Bunbury,

Western Australia, on Saturday 1 March 2008 and

Sunday 2 March 2008.

Australian Sprintcar Title Rained Out

The 2008 Australian Sprintcar Title was scheduled to

take place at Parramatta City Raceway, in Sydney, New

South Wales, from 31 January 2008 to 2 February

2008, however rain played havoc with the schedule,

which saw half of the Title rained out.

The Title began on Night One on 31 January 2008,

where Brooke qualified 21st, with a 13.739-second

lap. Night Two was on 2 February 2008, where he

started Heat One from sixth and finished fourth,

and started Heat Two from fifth and finished second.

The Title was rained out after this point, and has now

been scheduled to recommence on Saturday 29 March

2008.

Brooke's next race will therefore now be the Australian

Sprintcar Nationals at Speedway City, in Adelaide, South

Australia, on Friday 15 February 2008 and Saturday 16

February 2008.

Fourth at the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic

The two-night Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic was held at

Premier Speedway, in Warrnambool, Victoria, on Saturday

26 and Sunday 27 January 2008, where Brooke was unable

to finish on night one, and finished fourth on night two.

On Night One, Brooke qualified 16th with a time of 11.252

seconds. He started Heat One from fourth and powered

into third in the first corner. A motor problem developed,

which saw him ease off to prevent further damage, and he

finished fourth. The Krikke MotorSport Team quickly

changed the motor before Heat Two.

Brooke started Heat Two from seventh and moved into

fifth on the first lap. He ran a majority of the race on the

high line, and finished sixth, narrowly missing out on

an A-Main transfer.

He therefore started the 15-lap B-Main from pole. He

moved straight into the lead, and raced around the

high line to open up a gap over the field. In lapped

traffic, he weaved his way through the slower cars,

to take the B-Main win.

Brooke therefore started the 25-lap America/Australia

Challenge and Preliminary A-Main from 15th. He moved

straight into 14th on the first lap, before an incident

which left him with nowhere to go, which forced him

into the wall whilst trying to avoid another car. His

suspension was damaged, which ended his race. The

race was won by Max Dumesny, with Ian Loudoun

second and Kerry Madsen third. Brooke was 18th

in the points after the first night.

After the race, Brooke said, "Another Classic; another

heartbreak. We just had a night where we had a motor

problem early, and we really hurt the motor, because

we had to try and finish the Heat race. Normally, we

would have shut it down, but points are critical. Then

we just got taken out in someone else's mess in the

Feature race. It's just going to make us work hard

tomorrow night. If the track goes slick, we can still

race from the back and race up to the front, so

tomorrow is a new day."

Krikke MotorSport Team Owner Shane Krikke said, "We

had an average qualifying run, and then in the first

Heat, we were going along pretty well, racing with

Brazier, then we dropped a valve, which sort of put

us on the back foot, and Brooke just limped the

car back home in fourth. Really, we were lucky to

change motors in time, and therefore we didn't get

enough of a chance to put a set-up on the car, so

we just rolled through the next Heat. In the B-Main,

we were very good, we were pretty happy with that,

and I think we had the pace to run in the top ten

somewhere in the A-Main, but unfortunately

Warrnambool has come back to bite us again."

On Night Two, he started Heat One from fourth and

moved into third on the first lap. He ran around the

high line and weaved his way through lapped traffic.

He pulled an inside move late in the race, which

gave him second.

He started Heat Two from fifth, and moved into

third off the line, before a pass in turn one saw

him move into second. Following a mid-race red

light stoppage, he restarted in second, and held a

late-race battle for the lead, finishing second, only

one-tenth of a second behind the leader.

He therefore started the 40-lap A-Main from 12th.

He moved into tenth in the opening laps, and battled

his way through the field. At half-race distance, he

was in eighth. Over the rest of the race, which ran

flag-to-flag, he weaved through lapped traffic and

powered around the high line into fourth. Kerry

Madsen took the win, with Jason Johnson second

and Max Dumesny third.

On the night, Brooke said, "All in all, we salvaged a

good fourth. Fourth’s never good, but it was a good

one. As I say, I don’t think we did anything wrong

all weekend, we just had bad luck that got us back

that way. So, to run from where we did to fourth,

I’m reasonably happy, so we’ll take it and just move

on to the Title.”

Krikke MotorSport Team Owner Shane Krikke said, "It

was actually quite a satisfying night. I mean normally

when you come to one of these race meetings, you

want to win, but given the fact that last night we had

a blown up engine and got the front axle knocked

out of the car, to actually start out of 12th and finish

fourth, we are fairly satisfied. We could have had a

yellow or two in there, and maybe we could have

been in there with Jason, Kerry and Max, but who

knows. It was a good run, and we’ll carry a bit of

momentum into the Australian Title and start again.”

Brooke's next race will be the Australian Sprintcar

Title at Parramatta City Raceway, in Sydney, from

31 January 2008 to 2 February 2008.

Brooke Wins President’s Cup at Avalon

The President’s Cup was held at Avalon Raceway, in Lara,

Victoria, on Wednesday 23 January 2008, where Brooke

 took the win.

He qualified second with a time of 12.838 seconds. He

started the Heat from pole, and took the Heat win, giving

him a direct transfer into the A-Main. He started the 25-lap

A-Main from pole, after polesitter David Murcott elected to

start from position two. Brooke moved straight into the

lead and maintained his lead to the end, taking out the

President's Cup, ahead of Robbie Farr and Steven Lines.

Brooke's next race will be the Grand Annual Sprintcar

Classic, at Premier Speedway, in Warrnambool, Victoria,

on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January 2008.

Brooke Second at Outlaws Down Under

The two-night Outlaws Down Under V was held at Parramatta

City Raceway in Sydney, New South Wales, on 17 and 20

January 2008, where Brooke finished seventh on night one

and second on night two. The event was scheduled to take

place over three nights, however after a rain-out, the event

 was rescheduled to two nights.

On Night One, he qualified 11th with a time of 12.388

seconds. He started the Heat from fourth and finished

fifth, giving him a transfer into the B Dash. He started

the B Dash from third and finished fourth. He therefore

started the 30-lap Preliminary A-Main from eighth and

finished seventh. The race was won by Danny Lasoski,

with Donny Schatz second and Steve Kinser third.

On Night Two, Brooke qualified seventh with a time of

11.873 seconds. He started the Heat from fifth and

finished fifth, giving him a direct transfer into the

A-Main. He started the 30-lap A-Main from second

and finished second, behind winner Robbie Farr, and

ahead of Joey Saldana in third.

Brooke's next race will be the President’s Cup at

Avalon Raceway, in Lara, Victoria, on Wednesday

 23 January 2008.

Brooke Wins Sixth WSS Championship

Brooke has won the 2007/2008 World Series Sprintcars

Championship after the two-night final round at Brisbane

International Speedway, in Brisbane, Queensland, on 11

and 12 January 2008, where he finished seventh on

night one and fifth on night two.

On Night One, he qualified ninth with a time of 11.790

seconds. He started Heat One from eighth and finished

fifth. He started Heat Two from seventh, and powered

his way forward to finish third. He started his third and

final Heat from ninth and finished tenth.

The final round being a two-night event saw a different

format to the traditional World Series Sprintcars format,

with three rounds of Heats, then an A-Main. Brooke

started the A-Main from seventh, and finished seventh,

on a one-line track that was difficult to pass on. The

race was won by Trevor Green, with locals Cameron

Gessner second and Andrew Scheuerle third.

On Night Two, there was only one round of Heats, where

Brooke started eighth and moved forward to finish fourth.

He qualified for the A Dash, where he started and finished

fourth, to earn a fourth-row starting position for the all-

important A-Main. He therefore started the 50-lap A-Main

from seventh, alongside Peter Thorley. He drove a careful

race, looking after his tyres during the long race, and

made his way forward to finish fifth, to take his sixth

 World Series Sprintcars Championship.

The Krikke MotorSport Team celebrating their WSS Win, World Series Sprintcars Final, Brisbane, January 2008

Congratulations to Brooke, Amy & Emma and the entire

Tatnell Family, and Shane & Ryan Krikke, Pete Caporn,

Shane Finch & the entire Krikke MotorSport Team on

Brooke's sixth Championship and Krikke MotorSport's

second Championship!!

Brooke's next race will be the three-night Outlaws Down

Under V at Parramatta City Raceway, in Sydney, New

South Wales, from 17 to 19 January 2008.

Bad Luck at Parramatta's $50,000 to Win

The two-night $50,000 to Win Sprintcar International was

held at Parramatta City Raceway in Sydney, New South

Wales, on 4 and 6 January 2008, where Brooke finished

fifth on night one and was unable to finish on night two.

On Night One, he qualified 24th with a time of 12.388

seconds. He started his Heat from pole, but problems

with his brakes saw him pull infield, unable to finish.

He was therefore forced into the B-Main, which he

started from fifth, and powered his way forward to

take the win and qualify for the A-Main. He started

the A-Main from 20th, and battled his way through

the field throughout the race to finish fifth. The race

was won by Donny Schatz, with Garry Brazier second

and Robbie Farr third.

On Night Two, he started his Heat from second and

took the win, to earn a start in the A Dash. He started

the A Dash from the inside of the second row and went

on to finish third. He therefore started the A-Main from

fifth, alongside Jonathan Allard. Unfortunately, Brooke

was caught up in an incident with Steve Kinser, which

caused him to roll over and he was unable to finish.

The race was won by Donny Schatz, with Robbie Farr

second and Ian Loudon third.

Brooke's next race will be the two-night World Series

Sprintcars Final at Brisbane International Speedway, in

Brisbane, Queensland, on 11 & 12 January 2008.

Fifth at Speed Week Final - Warrnambool

The 13th round of World Series Sprintcars and the final

round of Speed Week was held at Premier Speedway,

in Warrnambool, Victoria, on 1 January 2008, where

Brooke finished fifth.

He was the last person to Time Trial and qualified 18th

with a time of 11.092 seconds. He started Heat 1 from

fifth and moved forward to finish fourth.

He started Heat 2 from sixth and moved into fifth at

the start. On the first lap, he made a pass in the

last corner to take fourth, and maintained fourth

to the end.

He started the B-Main from fifth, and moved into sixth

at the start, before a red light stoppage. He ran both

the high and low lines after the restart, swapping

positions and battling with other drivers in between

a number of caution periods. He finished sixth and

earned himself a start in the A-Main.

He therefore started the 35-lap A-Main from 18th,

alongside James McFadden and moved himself into

11th in the opening laps. His radiator suffered damage

and steam was blowing from the car, making it hard

for Brooke to see. With 12 laps left, an open red light

period allowed the Krikke MotorSport Team to replace

the radiator on the in-field. After the restart, he

powered his way forward, including passing two cars

on the final lap, and finished fifth. The race was won

by Max Dumesny, with Steven Lines second and

Robbie Farr third.

On the night's racing, Brooke said, “I guess we salvaged

a good finish out of a terrible weekend. We just didn’t

have a good Speed Week. Qualifying is so close right

now, if we were one-tenth of a second quicker, we

would have been third quick, but instead we were

18th, so the marbles didn’t fall our way this weekend.

But we’re a better team than what we’ve shown, and

we’re still in the Championship and we’re here to win it.”

Krikke MotorSport Crew Chief Pete Caporn commented,

“We were good in Hot Laps. With our qualifying time,

we missed it by a tenth, so we were way back there.

When you don’t qualify that good, you’re behind the

eight-ball. In the Heat races, the racetrack really wasn’t

there and we weren’t great either, we were too tight all

night. We just scraped through in the B-Main and got

into the Feature. Then obviously unfortunately we had

a radiator problem and we fixed that. When Brooke could

see, he was pretty good towards the end, and we were

lucky to scrape home in fifth. It was unlucky that Max

won, from the Championship side of things.”

Brooke continues to lead the World Series Sprintcars

points standing. His next race will be the $50,0000

to Win at Parramatta City Raceway, in Sydney, New

 South Wales, on 4 & 5 January 2008.

Brooke Third at Avalon Speed Week Round

The 12th round of World Series Sprintcars and the third

round of Speed Week was held at Avalon Raceway, in

Lara, Victoria, on 29 December 2007, where Brooke

 was third.

He qualified 12th with a time of 12.953 seconds. He

started his first Heat from seventh, and moved into

sixth before yellow and red-light stoppages. He

restarted in fifth and passed two cars at once to

finish third.

He started his second Heat from eighth and moved into

fifth on the first lap. He restarted in fifth after a mid-

race caution period, and moved into fourth, but was

moved back one place to finish fifth after a red light

stoppage towards the end of the race.

He started fourth in the six-lap A Dash, and finished

third, to earn himself a third-row starting position

for the A-Main.

He therefore started the 35-lap A-Main from fifth,

alongside Trevor Green. He moved into fourth before

an early caution period. After the restart, he moved

into third, before another yellow light stoppage. He

battled with Max Dumesny, with them racing side-by-

side and swapping positions, but Brooke passed Max

On the night's events, Brooke said, "It was just another

average night, I mean it's not what we should be doing.

We're just struggling a little bit to get back to where we

should be and where we started the year, so I'm not

sure exactly what it is, but we'll figure it out. I mean,

third place, it's a decent third. Until the red came out, I

thought we had a good shot of winning it. After the

red, we just sort of lost a little bit of rhythm and just

didn't get it done. That's as simple as it gets."

Krikke MotorSport Team Owner Shane Krikke said, "That

was a lot better tonight. We had some good car speed in

the Feature race, particularly early. We've been tinkering

with the car a little bit, it's a bit different to the ones we've

run for the past two years, and I believe tonight we've

probably found some of the problem. We've been good,

but inconsistent, and I think we'll see on the 1st [of

January] at Warrnambool. I reckon we'll be back on track

and hopefully sail on to win the Championship from there,

but it's a long way to go. Farry's in form and Max is

right there, so it's going to be a good one."

Brooke continues to lead the World Series Sprintcars

points standing. His next race will be Round 13 of

World Series Sprintcars, and Round 5 of Speed Week,

at Premier Speedway, in Warrnambool, Victoria, on 1

January 2008.

Fourth at Borderline Speedway, Mt Gambier

The 11th round of World Series Sprintcars and the third

round of Speed Week was held at Borderline Speedway,

in Mt Gambier, South Australia, on 29 December 2007,

where Brooke finished fourth.

He qualified tenth with a time of 11.296 seconds. He

was scheduled to start his first Heat from seventh, but

the inside row was moved forward after an accident on

the first lap. He therefore started from the second row,

and moved into fifth off the start, and took fourth on

the opening lap. On the last lap, he ran the high line to

take third.

He started his second Heat from sixth and moved into

fourth before a yellow light stoppage. He restarted in

third, and moved into second at half-race distance. He

finished side-by-side with Max Dumesny across the

line, and was classified as third.

He started from pole in the A Dash, and led the first

lap before being passed for the lead, and finished

second, to earn himself a second-row starting position

 in the A-Main.

He therefore started the 35-lap A-Main from the inside

of the second row, alongside Trevor Green, and moved

into fifth off the start. The leaders were quickly into

lapped traffic, before a mid-race open red light period,

which allowed the Krikke MotorSport Team on the in-

field to work on Brooke's car. He went on to finish in

fourth. The race was won by Jason Johnson, with

Danny Reidy second and Trevor Green third.

On the night's racing, Brooke said, "I take my hat off

to the first few rows. I mean we've gone from race

tracks that have been laying rubber, then they dumped

the water in it, trying to make it so that we didn't lay

rubber, cause the drivers have been complaining, the

crews have been complaining, and the car owners have

been complaining, so they did the right thing. They

consulted several of the drivers on whether they should

grade the racetrack before the Feature race, and they

needed to, because it was getting one-lane as it was.

The cold weather just kept bringing the moisture up, so

it was just a racetrack that was very, very hard to pass

on. For us, the driver was too polite in the Dash and

that basically cost us a top-two finish. Everything was

from the Dash."
